IAFOR Journal of Education News Announcing a Special Issue: Education Responses to a Pandemic (Cvoid-19)

     Globe is fighting against invisible enemy i.e. Covid-19 pandemic and people around the world are at jeopardy.  As, many countries imposed lock-down to stop further spreading this viral disease.  People are spending their lives under lock-down, self-isolation and social distancing situation.  Also, they miss important social, religious, cultural events in this time of uncertainty.  Likewise other affected sector from this pandemic, the education is also part of them as educational activities are clogged due to closure of educational institutions. Also, the shifting of learning mode from face to face to distance learning or e-learning various challenges faced by stakeholders i.e. learner, teacher and educational administration.

However, there is a big challenge arise for the public awareness as they are still at diagnosing stage and some basic questions floating about this virus i.e. i) What is a virus, ii) how to avoid it and iii) what will happen if any one catch it. Finally, this current pandemic is a bigger challenge for the glob in the age of information technology but to cop educational related challenges IAFOR Journal of Education News announcing a special issue about Education Responses to a Pandemic (Covid-19).  They invite proposal about special issues and last date for submission of special issues is

Monday November 30, 2020.



Possible Topics

According to IAFOR 
Journal of Education News so far many changes and variations are occurring in the field of education. Hence, it is not possible at this time to list all the issues or themes. But, below is a very short list of possibilities, possible topics and research areas also (more have been included on the website).



i). Education policy (either within or across nations / states / counties)

ii). Government legislation (for example school closure, public exams, social distancing in classrooms, differences based on sector of education)

iii). Inclusion and exclusion of access to education

iv). Online learning for home study

v). Public health education


Expanded style possibilities

As per IAFOR 
Journal of Education News this pandemic is so recent, they realize that there may not be large scale research projects yet conducted. However, submissions for this issue could include:

i). Opinion pieces, policy reviews (possibly comparative),

ii). Case studies of COVID-19 impact,

iii). Meta-analyses of educational responses to dealing with the impact of COVID-19 globally.

iv). There is also scope for small action research reports or narrative accounts.

Finally, the style of submission has wide scope for this issue, authors will still need to abide by the usual guidelines in terms of structure, format, word length and referencing where needed
