The Pyramid of Practical Wisdom

The Pyramid of Practical Wisdom
Dear readers, I hope you all are in a good health and prosperity during the Pandemic i.e. Coronavirus disease Covid-19. Firstly, it outburst in two provinces of China in last December 2019.  As, it blow out and spreading around the globe and nearly 210 counties and territories and two international conveyance have been affected [1].  However, 18 nations still not yet affected from this pandemic [2] from this life threaten and viral  disease.

Today I am going to share about the Pyramid of Practical Wisdom.  There are various meaning of pyramid available when you Google it but the most suitable meaning in this context is
an organization or system that is structured with fewer people or things at each level as one approaches the top”.  The pyramid of practical wisdom classify into six elements starting from lower to top most these are:

1) Data,
2) Information,
3) Knowledge,
4) Idea/Insights,
5) Wisdom and
6) Practical Wisdom.

1). Data: The first and lowest element of this pyramid is Data.  It refers to facts relating with living or nonliving i.e. (people, objects, things, events, entity etc.) available in a small piece or little part of information in raw form which is unprepared or unprocessed.  There are two types of data i.e Quantitative and Qualitative. The quantitative data measures the values or counts and expressed as number.  Hence, it deals with numeric variables (e.g. how many; how much; or how often). While qualitative form of data dealt with 'types' and may be represented by a name, symbol or a number code.   However, it can available in these forms i.e text, numbers, images, audio, and video while it can be collected for various purposes.  Yet, it does not give clear and proper meaning.

Therefore, it cannot be used directly for decision making. Finally, in the age of information technology another concept is emerging known as "Big Data"

2. Information:  The second lowest element is information which is upgraded,  manipulated  or processed from  data.  Data can be processed through Manual, Mechanical or Electronic techniques.  The processed form of data gives or offer clear and proper meanings.  So, it can be used for decision-making purpose.

3. Knowledge:  The third level of the pyramid of practical wisdom is knowledge which is upgraded version of information.  It can be constructed, created, designed, manipulated and also add new experiences. It is available in the forms of understating, awareness, expertise of someone or something about facts, information, description or skills.  Knowledge can be acquired through a process using practical or theoretical those processes are i). experience, ii). observation, iii). education by perceiving, iv). discovering or v). learning.   It can be further divide into four types of i.e. i). declarative, ii), procedural, iii), contextual and iv). somatic.  Therefore, all these forms offer's divergent thinking. Hence, its acquisition involves complex cognitive process known as (Perception, communication, and reasoning).

Soon, I will define these other levels (Idea, Wisdom and Practical Wisdom) in detail... and stay connected with my blog for further information and knowledge. Please, also follow may page and give me your precious suggestions.
